Randy McCurdy is a romantic realist fine art studio painter  and is best known for his calming pastoral landscape and figure paintings of the central Pennsylvania wetland regions of Dauphin, Lebanon, Schuylkill and Berks Counties.

His strong and well designed compositions and unique muted oil color palette lend to the romantic and also to the poetic nature of his art. Since 2007 his formal works of art have brought him national recognition as a Contemporary American Realist Painter.

Randy is a native of Dauphin County PA and is retired from a 35 year career as a graphic arts engineer. He has been painting since 1978.  In 1997 he was instrumental in the inspiration and design of the U.S. minted Pennsylvania quarter. He is an accomplished illustrator as well as a fine art painter.

In recent months of 2010 Randy has provided the Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area with fine art representation for their state wide promotional use in Pennsylvania.

"Fine art painting is not about winning awards or monetary gains. It is about making a lasting emotional and passionate connection with the many, the few or most importantly, the one."
